Studying the human condition during undergrad sparked my fascination with atmospheric narratives and deeply complex characters. My writing stems from liminal spaces where folklore collides with contemporary life, exploring the uneasy places where memory and the uncanny intersect.

Although I began writing casually around 2022, it wasn't until I started drafting Blackberries that I decided to pursue writing as a career. Ironically, I'm a bit of a scaredy-cat when it comes to horror films, but I've always been captivated by classic gothic literature and speculative fiction. Writers such as Shirley Jackson, Bram Stoker, and Margaret Atwood continue to shape my stories.

Much of my work is also rooted in my childhood in northern Utah. My experiences growing up in the LDS Church continue to influence my writings exploration of faith, identity, and community, while the mountainous landscapes of the western states inspires my analysis of the ways nature intertwines with humanity.
