After working as a COVID-19 intensive care nurse, Rosy is absolutely exhausted.

When she finds herself at one of her former patients farmhouse deep within the Canadian wilderness, the quiet is restorative. He is thoughtful, reliable, and convinced the Last Sun will plunge civilization into darkness.

His meticulous preparations for post-apocalypse survival seem eccentric, but Rosy is drawn to his perceptiveness after witnessing how governmental institutions can fail people; especially people like her who rely on medication like insulin to stay alive.

As the days pass in his bunker, isolation begins to blur reality as Rosy discovers that survival is its own kind of obsession. And maybe… she knows that better than him.
